Required setting to add a compatible Honeywell Home thermostat to the Hilo app, if the default browser on an Android phone is Firefox
Adding a Honeywell Home thermostat to the Hilo app, requires a setting modification if the default browser on your phone is Firefox. Without this adjustment, adding the thermostat is not possible.
Follow these instructions to modify the setting:
- In Firefox, tap on the menu button (usually three vertical dots) next to the address bar.
- Tap on Settings.
- Scroll down to the Advanced section and tap Open links in apps to select one of the three options.
- Always allows to open links in native apps every time.
- Ask before opening to choose whether to open link in native app each time.
- Never to never open links in native apps.
- Select Always or Ask before opening.
